 rowns, or sometimes called caps, is an area of great improvement in modern
dentistry. I'm sure you have seen people with ugly crowns due to mismatched colors or a
black line at the gums.  With the development of newer, more advanced porcelains and lab
techniques, this is no longer the case. Most crowns can be made to be indistinguishable
from a real tooth. With the right materials and the necessary time to do the job right,
modern crowns can and do look like beautiful real teeth. You may need a crown if there is insufficient tooth structure left for more conservative treatment such as veneers or onlays. A crown can require as many as five visits although most only need two visits. After a crown is placed, some patients have a few days of sensitivity. In most cases, however, the crown results in a very natural feeling and before you realize it you'll feel as though it is a naturally grown member of your teeth. |
